Urban Retreats are an opportunity to practice intensively with a group of like-minded people for a whole day.


The day allows us time out, so we can rest inwardly. The resting of our mind into stillness allows for processing and release of stress that builds up within. Stress is a major factor of our health and wellbeing: physically, emotionally and psychologically.  Past patterns and shadow aspects of ourselves can also be released, creating lightness and clarity. Ultimately a deep inner silence and peace can be revealed and from that many wonderful insights can flow naturally.

The venue is One Heart Yoga & Meditation, an inner-city sanctuary in the beautiful grounds of the Abbotsford Convent. The studio is a peaceful and spacious light-filled space that is warmly heated in winter and cool in summer.

Urban Retreats happen about once a month, on a Sunday.
The dates for 2017 are:

Urban Retreats start at 7.30am sharp (arrive at 7.15am) and finish at 5.30pm.
There is a 2 hour lunch break along with shorter morning and afternoon breaks.

Bring your own lunch or eat on-site at the cafes or "Lentil As Anything" restaurant. If feeling energetic in the breaks, bring a pair of walking shoes, as there are walking tracks and paths along the Yarra River or just relax in the lovely gardens and grounds of the Convent.


The cost is only $85 and bookings are essential.

7.30 - 9am Meditation
9.30 - 11.30am Yoga
11.30 - 1.30pm Lunch & Free Time
1.30 - 3pm Meditation
3 - 4pm Free Time
4 - 5.30pm Meditation
